It’s important to make sure that kids wear sunscreen while outside in the sun for long periods of time, but it is not always easy to get them to wear it!
This is why I created this “fun screen”! It not only smells & looks like chocolate which the kids (and adults 😅) love, but it also protects against harmful sun rays while simultaneously nourishing & deeply moisturizing the skin!
The combination of butters, waxes & oils in this recipe - many of which have their own natural SPF, make it extremely waterproof, forming a long lasting barrier on the skin.
Non-nano zinc oxide is one of the safest’s forms of sunscreen. Because it is made up of non-nano particles, it does not absorb into the bloodstream & is considered a broad-spectrum blocker.
The cocoa powder in this recipe tints the sunscreen so that it does not appear super white on the skin 👻 And of course it also smells delicious! 🍫
Many of the most common commercial brand sunscreens are full of extremely toxic ingredients that actually absorb into the bloodstream through the skin & also pollute our oceans. My mineral sunscreen is non-toxic, safe for kids + babies of all ages & is also environmental + reef safe! 🏖
Reapply every 2 hours or as often as needed if doing a lot of swimming. Do not rub/blend it in entirely.

Organic Ingredients:
Non-Nano Zinc Oxide- Scatters, absorbs & reflects light rays without absorbing into the skin. Because it is non-nano particles, it does not penetrate the skin into the bloodstream. Extremely effective at protecting against UVA, UVB, and UVC rays making it a broad-spectrum blocker, providing full UV spectrum protection.
Carrot Seed Oil - Contains a natural SPF between 38-40 making it the vegetable oil with the highest natural SPF. Rich in carotene & vitamin A. Detoxifies, revitalizes, rejuvenates, repairs, tones & tightens the skin.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil - Contains a natural SPF between 30-50. Rich in vitamin E & vitamin A. Replenishes collagen levels & encourages skin cell regeneration/grown. Offers anti-aging benefits & improves skin elasticity.
Cocoa Powder - Contains antioxidants that help protect against free radical damage. Contains flavanols that decrease harmful effects from UV rays. Enhances skin hydration & elasticity. Softens & detoxifies. Also tints the sunscreen so that it’s not super white on the skin & gives it a delicious chocolate smell.
Cocoa Butter - The high fat content in cocoa butter forms a long lasting protective barrier on the skin. It adds thickness to the sunscreen & makes it more waterproof. It’s very nourishing being rich in phytochemicals, improves blood flow to the skin & it smells delicious!
Coconut Oil - Contains antioxidants that help protect the skin from harmful radiation from the sun & also offers some natural SPF. It nourishes + moisturizes the skin, promotes collagen turnover rate in cells, slows down premature aging of skin & adds to the overall texture of the sunscreen.
Beeswax - Makes the sunscreen more waterproof & acts as a natural binder. Locking in moisture & forms a protective layer on top of the skin while still allowing air flow without clogging pores. Promotes new, healthy skin growth. Hydrates, softens & calms the skin. Also an antibacterial agent.
